Our commitment
Kindred is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards.
Conformance status
Kindred aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities.
We have implemented the following accessibility features:
- Keyboard navigation throughout the application
- Skip-to-main-content link for screen reader users
- ARIA labels on interactive elements, charts, and form inputs
- Keyboard-accessible drag-and-drop (kanban board)
- Dark and light mode with sufficient color contrast
- Reduced motion support via prefers-reduced-motion
- Visible focus indicators on all interactive elements
- Semantic HTML with proper heading hierarchy
- Form inputs with associated labels and error descriptions
- Touch targets meeting minimum size requirements
Known limitations
- The knowledge graph visualization may not be fully accessible to screen reader users. Graph data is available through the page list and search features.
- Some third-party embedded content (e.g., GitHub embeds) may not meet accessibility standards.
- The rich text editor relies on third-party components (BlockNote/Tiptap) which may have accessibility gaps.
